Maeda Toshiie and Matsu are a happy and successful couple. Nene sees them and tells Hideyoshi to hurry up and move up the ranks, as well. Meanwhile, Nobunaga devises a plan to build a castle in Sunomata in order to invade Mino, and Hideyoshi takes on the task.
